Exetel's NBN plan isn't getting more expensive this year

Many providers have already announced price hikes ahead of July 1, when NBN wholesale costs go up, but Exetel won't be making any changes this year. A spokesperson for the telco told WhistleOut that Exetel won't be increasing its plan pricing this time around.

This means that Exetel's singular NBN plan - an NBN 500 option - will stay at $80 per month. Here's the plan:

FTTP, HFC

nbn® 500/45 Mbps
Unlimited Data

$80/mth

Min. cost $80

Go to Site

$80/mth

Min. cost $80

Go to Site

While Exetel may be unique in not increasing the pricing of any of its NBN plans (which, admittedly, is easier when you only have one), NBN 500 costs are staying flat across many providers. Exetel's sibling, Superloop, is also keeping NBN 500 prices unchanged. Telstra, Optus, Belong, iiNet, and Dodo are all following suit.

Other providers like Aussie Broadband, Tangerine, More, and iPrimus have confirmed they'll be increasing the price of NBN 500 plans for customers following July 1.
