Vodafone MVNO felix mobile has refreshed its plan lineup, now offering more than a single plan for the very first time. When felix first launched in 2020, the premise of the telco was a single simple mobile plan with unlimited data. Now, it's building on that with two cheaper, more traditional options.
felix's plans now start at $25 per month with 25GB, and there's also a $30 per month option with 50GB. Both plans are free from excess charges, and instead have unlimited data capped at speeds of 1.5Mbps if you go over your primary data allowance. You can add an extra 10GB of full-speed data for $10, however.
The plans both feature data banking, and are compatible with felix's international roaming and international calling add-ons. As with its unlimited plan, felix will plant one tree per month for each subscriber. The plans are limited to 4G, but the primary data allowance isn't subject to any speed caps. If customers bank more data than they can use, 20GB can be donated to plant an extra tree.
felix's range is rounded out with its unlimited plan, which now costs $40 per month - up from $35. All mobile data on the plan is capped at 20Mbps. All existing customers who were on this plan prior to today will continue to pay $35 per month

A felix spokesperson told WhistleOut that its new plans were introduced to bring "more choice to customers and more competition to the telco market".
"felix was created to provide simplicity for customers, drive competition and choice in the market and champion environmental sustainability," said the spokesperson. "We have the opportunity to deliver on all of these promises while bringing greater value to a whole new market of customers."
felix's $30 plan represents a pretty solid deal, but it's now the only option. Here's how it compares to plans with at least 50GB:
TPG Is a strong alternative, thanks to its introductory offer. New customers pay $20 per month for their six months for a 60GB plan. This goes up to $40 per month thereafter. TPG is also powered by the Vodafone network.
Alternatively, Dodo currently has a double data offer on its $25 per month plan, getting you 50GB for the first six months. Dodo is powered by the Optus network.
