Valentine's at Vodafone: 50% off prepaid starter packs, plus bonus data offers

More reasons to fall in love with Vodafone: if you're ready to switch to a new prepaid plan, you can now pick up the telco's $40 Data Combo Starter Pack for half-price, and claim double the included data.

From now through to the end of February, Vodafone's $40 pack is available for just $20 when you buy online. The plan includes unlimited standard national calls and texts, 9GB of monthly fast data, and comes with a 35-day expiry.

The $20 pricing applies to your Starter Pack purchase, so any subsequent $40 recharges will be charged at full price. But the Data Combo plan is also covered by Vodafone's newest double data offer, so you'll get 18GB with your Starter Pack, plus double data for your next two recharges of $40 or more.

Once you've picked up your Starter Pack, you'll need to text "DD" to 1263 to lock-in your free extra data. This bonus data deal also applies to Vodafone's $50 and $30 Data Combo Starter Packs: you'll get 24GB on the $50 plan (up from 12GB), and 9GB on the $30 option (normally 3GB).

Need overseas calls?

If you're looking for a prepaid plan with included international minutes, Vodafone's $40 Talk Combo Starter Pack is also now half-price when you buy online. The $20 pack includes unlimited Aussie calls and texts, 12GB of data (6GB, plus 6GB of bonus data until your third recharge), and plenty of international call time: 1000 minutes to 15 countries, and 90 minutes to 58 destinations.

Again, you'll need to opt-in via text to claim your bonus data on this Starter Pack, as well as on Vodafone's $30 and $50 Talk Combo plans. Customers can get double data on the $50 Talk Combo Starter Pack (18GB, normally 9GB), and triple data on the $30 plan (from 3GB to 9GB).

To get your half-off prepaid pack, simply order online before February 28, and make sure you text "DD" to 1263 before April 10 to score your bonus data. Or, if you're still unsure about Vodafone, find your ideal prepaid phone plan below.
