What is the Scream franchise about?

The Scream franchise was brought to life in 1996 by the directorial genius, Wes Craven. The tale centres around Sidney Prescott, a teenager who, around the one-year anniversary of her mother's murder, finds her hometown torn apart by a serial killer, a knife-wielding maniac in a mask commonly referred to as 'Ghostface'.

Over the series, the Ghostface mask is donned by a range of different killers and though their motives may differ, their execution remains largely the same - brutal, bloody murder, often with Sidney in its crosshairs.

Scream has forged itself into the horror history books as an iconic slasher film for its memorable one-liners, cutting satire, whodunnit storytelling, jaw-dropping unmaskings and popular casting choices (everyone from Drew Barrymore and Emma Roberts to Courtney Cox and David Arquette).

Director: Wes Craven | Writer: Kevin Williamson | Cast: Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Skeet Ulrich, Hayden Panettiere, Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera

Language: English | Rating: MA15+ to R18+

Editor's pick: Great NBN 50 and NBN 100 plans for streaming

Streaming TV and movies on your home internet can use up a lot of data. That's why we recommend getting an NBN plan with unlimited data. Preferably an NBN 50 plan or faster to account for streaming speed needs.

Most internet plans these days are unlimited, so that's not an issue. As for speed, it's true that NBN 50 plans will get most households by. But NBN 100 plans can be similar in price to NBN 50 plans.

This is certainly the case for the fist six months, which most providers offer discounted pricing for. The cost differences between NBN 50 and NBN 100 can become larger after that six-month discount period ends, however.

There are loads of plans like this in our database, covering all budgets. Here are just a few:
