Life isn’t a popularity contest, and you definitely shouldn’t make decisions just because everyone else is doing it. But, it can help to see what other people are doing, afterall not EVERYONE can be making a poor decision right!?
Every month, around half a million Australians use WhistleOut to compare phone and internet plans. The plans below have been the most popular over the past seven days, and they are all contract free.

SpinTel holds the cheapest NBN 50 plan available at the moment and is also the most popular. This NBN Unlimited Plus plan will set you back just $54 per month for the first six months, and $64.95 thereafter. Even once the discount is removed, SpinTel's plan is still among the most affordable.
With typical evening speeds of 50Mbps, this plan is as fast as you can get on the NBN 50 speed tier.

MyRepublic has one of the cheapest NBN 100 plans around at the moment, so it is not surprise that it is also one of the most popular plans on site. Thanks to a promotional discount, this 100/20 plan is just $69 per month for the first six months. After the discount period is up, it goes up to $79 which is still significantly cheaper than many other NBN 100 plans.
You’ll also get a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so if your service isn’t performing well enough and MyRepublic can’t fix it within the first month, the provider will refund your plan fees.

In the NBN 1000 speed tier, Aussie Broadband’s Home Ultrafast Unlimited has gotten the most attention this past week. With the cost sitting at $149 per month, it isn’t the cheapest option available, but it is one of the fastest. The only telco offering faster evening speeds than Aussie’s 600Mbps, is Telstra with 700Mbps. You’ll pay an additional $31 per month if you decide to go with Telstra.
Aussie Broadband’s plan is entirely contract free, and you can bring your own modem or buy one directly through the provider. It also comes with a home phone service with PAYG calls (if you still use a landline). NBN 1000 plans are only available on FTTP technology types and some HFC.
