More About Aussie Broadband
Aussie Broadband has grown from a promising upstart to the nation's fourth-biggest internet provider. This is largely thanks to a combination of consistently high evening speeds and excellent local support.
The telco says its customers rarely encounter congestion - even during peak times - and to prove it, publishes bandwidth graphs that show how much capacity it has purchased on the network versus how much capacity its customers are using.
Aussie Broadband is currently one of the only major telco to provide this much transparency around its NBN performance.

How to switch to Aussie Broadband NBN
To find out if you're eligible for an Aussie Broadband NBN plan, first check your address in our broadband search engine. If Aussie Broadband is listed in the search results, you can make the switch.
Once you've picked a plan that works for you and your family, you can place an order directly with Aussie Broadband. Aussie Broadband will help you to organise an installation date and time. You may still need to cancel your existing internet service with your previous provider after your Aussie Broadband service is ready.
If you already have an NBN connection at your place, the standard time frame is one to five business days, and you won't need a visit from a technician. If it's your first time getting connected to the NBN, this process can take up to 20 business days and a technician will need to make the initial setup.
Aussie Broadband can provide you with an NBN-ready modem, although you're free to bring your own compatible modem. You'll pay a minimum of $179 if you want to buy your modem through Aussie Broadband, plus shipping fees.
Another important thing to note: while installation is free for most customers, if you're located in a newly developed area with no existing telecommunications infrastructure, you may be charged a $300 New Development Fee by NBN Co.
