With no excess data charging, if you exceed your included data allowance, your data speeds are capped at 1.5Mbps until the end of your bill cycle (not suitable for HD video or high speed applications, and means that some web pages, video/social media content and some large files may take longer to load) and slowed further during busy periods.
The only way to use your service overseas is by purchasing an International Roaming Day Pass. You can purchase an International Day Pass at $5 per day in New Zealand, or $10 per day in more than 70 eligible countries. Day Pass Zone 1 and 2 packs include 500MB of data to use per day. Usage expires at the end of a 24 hour day pass period. If you go over your 500MB, you can add an additional 1GB for $10 for use within 31 days. A Day Pass is triggered whenever any mobile data is used in an eligible country. If you’re travelling to a country where our International Day Pass isn’t available, you cannot use your Telstra service.
This plan allows you to share your data with up to 10 eligible mobile services on the same, eligible account.
This plan is paid by Autpay. With AutoPay, you set up automatic monthly payments using your nominated bank account, or credit or debit card. Your first payment will be charged as soon as you take up your new service in the checkout. After that, your payment will be charged on the same date each month. No late payment fees will be charged when you’re on AutoPay.
Customers who join Telstra Plus will have access to exciting membership benefits such as discounted tickets, entertainment extras on us and VIP services. The benefits you will have access to are based on your membership tier. You will be rewarded with points based on your account spend every month. You will get 10 points for every $1 of eligible spend. The points can be redeemed on the Telstra Plus Rewards Store on a range of rewards.
Your month-to-month plan may change (including price and inclusions). With no lock-in, you can change your plan once a month or leave. If you leave, just pay out your device, accessories or services in full.
Telstra 5G: Telstra currently offers 5G in select areas and is progressively rolling it out to other areas. In non-5G coverage areas, you’ll automatically switch to our 4G. Check coverage at the Telstra website.
4GX: The Telstra Mobile Network offers 4GX in all capital CBDs and selected suburban and regional areas and is progressively rolling out to more places. In other coverage areas around Australia, you’ll automatically switch to our fastest available 4G. Check coverage at the Telstra website.

Outside 4GX areas, you will switch to our fastest available 4G speeds. Speeds vary for reasons like location, distance from base stations, terrain, user numbers, hardware/software configuration, download source and upload destination.

In addition, heavy data users (users in the top 1% of all data users) may experience slower speeds than other users during busy periods. The speeds you actually receive may vary depending on a range of factors including your device, location, number of users and download sources. Your data allowance is for personal use in a smartphone or tablet in Australia only and the FairPlay Policy applies.
Compatible Device: Compatible Telstra Mobile Network device required.

Australia's biggest telco provider has offered a number of great mobile broadband plans for all data appetites and is certainly worth considering for anyone looking for the convenience that mobile broadband offers.
Telstra is one of Australia's most accountable organisations in regards to setting and meeting climate change targets, and is delivering impactful sustainable change within its own business and its supply chain. Already carbon neutral, Telstra is on its way to significantly reducing its absolute emissions with projects including energy efficiency, renewable energy, greater use of recycled materials, reforestation and supporting its supply chain partners to decarbonise as well.
If you're ready to jump to a new broadband plan - and only the best will do - there's a reason why Telstra is still Australia's biggest telco. Telstra isn't usually the best option for more budget-conscious customers, but if you're after quality, reliability and speed, Telstra has plenty of offer with a wide range of NBN and mobile broadband plans.
If you're after a Telstra NBN plan, you can pick from six speed tiers: NBN 25, NBN 50, NBN 100, NBN 500, NBN 750, and NBN 1000. Just be aware that NBN 500 plans are only available to addresses that have an FTTP or HFC connection type.
That being said, most FTTN and FTTC addresses can now request a free upgrade to FTTP by ordering an NBN 500 plan or faster, through an eligible provider like Telstra. Read more about the free upgrade process here.
Telstra offers two types of NBN plans: "Upfront" and "internet-only".
Upfront plans include a modem and 4G backup, and are bundled with a home phone landline at no extra cost, with unlimited calls to standard Australian mobiles and landlines.
Internet-only plans, like the name suggests, only give you internet. You don't get the modem, 4G backup, or phone calls, but as such, they are cheaper. Telstra will still sell you a modem if you buy an internet-only plan and want one, but it won't have 4G backup.
Telstra's NBN plans are as follows:
Be aware that if you leave a Telstra Upfront NBN plan within the first 24 months, you'll need to return your modem or pay a hardware fee.
Telstra also has a small range of mobile broadband plans. These can be purchased as a SIM-only option or paired with a portable modem.
To find out if you're eligible for a Telstra NBN plan, first check your address in our broadband search engine. If your home is covered by Telstra, all available plans will be listed in the search results.
Decide on the right plan for you, click the Go To Site button and follow the prompts. The Telstra team will help you to organise an installation date and time, plus take care of transferring your home phone number to your new account, where possible.
If you already have an NBN connection with another provider, that's no problem - simply follow the same steps as above. However, since you've already got NBN, you won't need a technician to visit your home or office. Instead, Telstra will be able to simply activate your new NBN service. In most cases, your new plan should be live within a day. Be sure to check that your old NBN plan has been cancelled with your previous provider after your Telstra service is live.
Another important thing to note: while having your premise connected to the NBN is free for most customers (excluding the upfront costs you may need to pay when signing up for a plan), if you're located in a newly developed area with no existing telecommunications infrastructure, you may be charged a $300 New Development Fee by NBN Co.
Telstra sells plans configured on six speed tiers: NBN 25, NBN 50, NBN 100, NBN 500, NBN 750, and NBN 1000. You can find more information on NBN speeds here.
Telstra's Upfront NBN includes a modem at no extra cost, but there are also cheaper internet-only plans that let you bring your own modem if you have one you like.
Telstra's NBN plans are now all no-contract. However, if you're on an Upfront NBN plan, you'll need to return your modem if you leave within the first 24 months or a pay a non-return fee.
Telstra's Upfront NBN plans all include unlimited standard local, national, and mobile calls. Telstra's internet-only and mobile broadband plans do not include calls.
